Co-creation

Our story

This activity enables co-creation on the go, as you invite you and your colleagues to tell the story of your journey together. Emerging one sentence at a time.

This is an activity done in a group to stimulate connection, by harnessing the power of emergence through improv and co-creation.

Invite your group for informal and one-of-a-kind storytelling. The simple rule is each participant share one sentence at a time building on what was shared previously. As a facilitator, you can start the story with a generative sentence to begin the story with excitement and stimulate creativity, and end it when it feels right with a closing sentence. The content of the story could vary based on the context you can provide before the start of the storytelling. For example, the story could reflect the participant’s experience of a whole year, a particular day in a particular context, their time till they arrived to the meeting or a single event in the past.

  1. Provide context: I want to invite us all to tell our story about…
  2. Share the rules: We will tell this story with one person at a time sharing one sentence that would build on the previous ones shared. Just share when you feel pulled to continue, no need to ask for permission to speak or resist sharing if you already shared once.
  3. Start the story with a beginning sentence that reflects the context e.g. This morning I woke up from a strange dream….; We began this year with...
  4. Invite others to continue emerging the story, intervene with your own sharing where you feel pulled so you can participate too!
  5. Close the story when you feel it makes sense, and the way you wish to end it.

This an excellent reflection activity that could be done both in digital facilitation and face-2-face.
